The
Provincial Municipality of Ilo, in agreement with the New Law of
Municipalities inside its competitions should promote the culture
of the prevention by means of the Education for the preservation
of the Environment in it offers of a Local Sustainable Development
in the formation of new citizens and to improve the quality of life
of the Population. |

The
Unit of Local Educational Administration–Ilo, has as strategic
mission the promotion of the human person's development, through
a new Educational System in which the individual capacities are
strengthened, thanks to an integral and permanent formation. This

COOPERATION
INTERINSTITUTIONAL'S AGREEMENT for the development of the "Project
of Environmental Education in the Educational Centers of the County",
it was celebrated by the Unit of Local Educational Administration
- Ilo, represented by their Principal Nora Graciela Díaz
Dueñas and for the Provincial Municipality of Ilo, represented
by their Mayor Engineer Jorge Alfredo Mendoza Pérez. |

The
objective of the present Agreement is to join efforts of the signatory
institutions to develop the Development of the Education, the Training
and the taking of Conscience referred in the Chapter 36 of the Agenda
21, in the mark of the future vision that sustains the proposals
and projects of integral development of the County of Ilo and to
guarantee the execution of the objectives of the Agreement. |

| a) To
define the commitments and responsibilities that it assumes each institution. |
|
|

| b) To
guarantee the implementation of the Project of Environmental Education
and Agenda 21 for the Sustainable Development. |

| c) To
contribute to the improvement of the habitat in harmony with the Environment
and the preservation of the populational health. |
|
|
|
|
|
|

| d) To
create Environmental Conscience on the importance of the Environment
and Development (values, attitudes, social practice, environmental
technology), in the Educational Institutions of the County
of Ilo. |

| e) To
make that all the individuals that we inhabit the County of Ilo, in
more or smaller degree, adopt decisions
that concern to the Environment. |

The
Environmental Education and the Sustainable Development |

|
|
The
Sustainable Development, is that development that allows to satisfy
the necessities of the present, without committing the capacity
of the future generations to satisfy the own ones (Informs “Our
Common Future”, World Commission of the Environment and the
Development, 1987). |

|
|
When
the system of educational influences for the protection of the Environment
has been correctly developed by the Educational Centers, by means
of a conscious pedagogic work, creator and the teacher's enthusiast
and it has been assimilated compactly by the students, showing in
the daily practice, one can affirm that a process of formation of
positive values is developing in the student's personality that
will determine that our pupils, once graduate, materialize, as active
workers in its different professions or occupations, the consequent
protection that it needs the Environment; committing the three essential
components to achieve the Sustainable Development that are: the
Environment, the Society and the Economy. |
